9 years young

It's my littlest one's birthday today and thus the day has been all about her. The day got rolling at 6.30, (The first 6.30, not the second one which is altogether much nicer) and started with the opening of the pressies and then after school various visits to family, and a nice meal out for her.

There were a few blip opportunities, but I thought this one, which caught baby girl and her mum in a quietly shared moment reminded me of how her journey started 9 years ago. Just the two of them, bonded together intimately how only a mum and child can be.

It looks like there is some private, very important conversation going on here, but in fact it's just mum listening to some popping candy that little'un had filled her mouth with. I think at 9 years old on your birthday, that's just about as important as things should get.
