Buzzing
The ivy on the wall outside our entrance has just begun to flower.
It is buzzing with insects, but these aren't bees which we love, but bluebottles and wasps!
The flowers will then turn to berries, which usually attract the blackbirds in winter, who then build their nests in amongst the leaves and branches in spring.
So a humble little plant, often overlooked, but part of natures plan.
Another beautiful autumn day, and the roofers are still busy!
