Lotus Seedhead

This was not what I thought I would end up with today, after spending the morning again at the Kenilworth Aquatic Center.  After all, we saw a Bald Eagle and a Kingfisher but both were too far away to get a good shot.  

Once again, I ended up fascinated by the Lotus seed heads.  Most of them have been cleared away since my last visit, but there were still enough of them around to make it interesting. This one in particular caught my eye because it was isolated and sitting in some very soft light.  And… maybe it will work for abstract Thursday, too. 

I have uploaded a Bold Jumping Spider in the extras, but only look if you are not bothered by spiders.
