More Northern Lights

Shimmering, waving, and  twisting across the whole sky! In thirty years here I can think of only two other nights like this. What a brilliant show the universe put on for us!
The night before’s performance was good, but really it just honed my night photography skills ready for tonight.
This is one of a Flickr group of 7 photos. Some are just the sky, some are grounded with trees and a horizon, some show the stars shining brightly, in others the stars are dimmed by the luminosity of the aurora.
Last night we felt very lucky to be looking up at this tremendous show.
Today we are feeling pretty tired after sitting outside until 01:30 in the morning!
