We just kept going
A lot of stuff that just had to be done today - but non of it really that inspiring - speech writing, accompanying presentation, sponsorship packages - necessary but dull .
Up and out early with Pushka I'd already decided that we'd have a nice long walk to be fair to her and make the best of the day before hitting the computer - but by the time I was down to a t-shirt I was already thinking of ways to extend our route.
Yesterdays climbing session tweaked the knee a little - but I'm getting better at managing it nowadays - so feeling good we turned for Raisebeck and a longer loop to Sunbiggin. At the turn I remembered my favourite little hidden pond - another place I've not visited since getting back from the Alps - its often a wild life haven - so we had another little detour to see what we could see.
Swans, Geese & pheasants were all round and about - but the dog's presence had then taking to the island or gliding out of view - but as the water calmed I was struck by the fantastic colours - I knew even before we'd set off back to Sunbiggin that this would be today's blip - and despite yet more squirrel activity it's remained my choice for the day.
