Where are all the brown pelicans?

Wandered around the lovely town of Santa Barbara, it was not too hot. Went out to the end of Stearns wharf to see all the pelicans. When we were last here there were 20 - 30 pelicans, today only one. Sad, l hope the others were out fishing!
Had a fish taco for lunch and a large glass of lemonade - this is the life!
