Milkweed....

....it's pod has split open & it's started releasing all of it's tiny, carefully stored seeds into the air! After 3 days of no sun it finally made an appearance today, which made the the tufts of white attached to the seeds look like shimmering silk! (which makes sense since milkweed also goes by the names wild cotton, cotton weed, Virginia silk & silk weed.)
