Rejuvenating Retreat

Today was my October retreat day - I walked through the countryside, praying, enjoying nature, listen to the birds, inhaling the smell of wild rosemary & pine...the sun was out (31 degrees today!)...the sea was looking beautiful and the cockerels were crowing. As soon as I turned off the main round and into the campo I could feel myself coming back to central, if you know what I mean... Walked an hour and a half and ended up at a lovely beach hut café, had coffee, read my Bible, enjoyed the view....then an hour and a half back to get the bus home.
This evening we all gathered at THE café and enjoyed a good natter. Lovely to see some of the Sa Penya guys and to chat a bit more to a bloke I say hi to loads but don't really know.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) My few hours of wonderfulness - I am so so grateful for times like these. It was like a few hours of heaven (see extra pic for a gorgeous hibiscus flower too!).
2) Asha's enjoyment of art - (she spent all afternoon painting (including the floor, by accident - thank goodness for tiles and no carpets!).
3) Our community based round the café. As one of our friends said,'you could never get away in a hurry - too many people to chat to and say bye to!'
