John Chamberlain
I caught the end of his exhibition at the Botanics, and suspect I needn't have bothered. Like the gallery attendant, I was more interested in getting out into the sunshine.
"One of the pioneers of post-war American art, Chamberlain was a key figure in the vibrant New York art scene of the 1950s and ‘60s. His innovative work.... reveals the power and innovation of an artist completely beyond style or fashion".
Beyond me.
