D'oh!nut
So I couldn't resist any longer and after Pilates today I accidentally got this Tivoli Road salted caramel doughnut with my coffee. I blipped these bad boys a couple of weeks ago and at the time I thought that they would be too rich to be really enjoyable. Boy, was I wrong! The dough is incredibly light and flavoured unexpectedly but perfectly with lemon zest, which cuts through some of the sweetness. The salted caramel is indeed made with sweetened condensed milk. But it really is quite a sensational combination with the lemony dough. The biggest problem is, now I know what they taste like I'm hooked!
