If you go down to the woods today..........

The weather started off reasonable in the morning, warm and sunny but with lots of heavy cloud lingering around. Daughter and I decided to go for a walk to a couple of lochans up on the hill where there are water lilies but by the time we (or rather daughter) got organised, the heavens had opened and it was pouring with rain.

On to plan B, a bit of retail therapy! So off we trundled towards Edinbane where there is a furniture/carpet shop to look for a new stair carpet. The nearer we got to Edinbane the sunnier and warmer it go, so having checked out the carpets and booked an appointment for them to come and measure up, we headed back to Portree stopping on the way for a bit of a walk. We walked along a path and came across this small wood and decided to explore. The blip is of my daughter (with newly dyed hair!) sitting in a small clearing contemplating life!
