Extreme lab work
We were back on Castle Sands today for lab work, this time in pairs and at different sections of the beach. The idea was for the class to count as many limpets as they could, before we analysed the data on Friday in the hopes of calculating an estimate for the actual number on the beach.
However, it wasn't as easy as it sounds. The rocks were extremely slippery, with seaweed everywhere we looked. I fell over multiple times and cut my hand open close to the end. Another group had to finish early because one person cut their hand open badly, and another had to go to hospital due to falling over and hurting her back! It was wonderful weather but it wasn't really appreciated due to the walking conditions and I was very glad when it was over! I then spent the rest of the day in the house working on my dissertation!
