Ruperra Farm Old Barn

This an aerial photograph of Ruperra Farm old barn in Michaelston-Y-Fedw which is off a private road leading to Ruperra Castle.

I believe the stone was from the Old Priory or church that was situated in field about 300 metres away. It has an arch window in the wall to the right of the main door which is ecclesiastical in appearance. There is no trace of the site of the original but I did pick up the size and shape of the original with dowsing rods and it matches this.


It is in the shadow of Ruperra Hill Fort (Iron Age) and it's a lovely area. The farmer, Anthony, doesn't seem to use it for anything and has turned down offers to sell it. It has nice views so I can see why people would want to renovate it.
