Arthur and Paul, World Animal Day.

Today in the Church Calendar, it has traditionally been the Feast Day of St. Francis, patron saint of the animals and more recently the environment.
It is World Animal Day as well, and more can be found on this at www.worldanimalday.org.uk.
The aim of this day, is to make the world a fairer place for all animals.
The aim is to raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe.
