Sunset

A beautiful spring day.  We planted another almond tree, and a couple of shrubs.  Also cleared out a lot of self-sown shrubs that have sneaked up on us, and become rather large.  They will now be reduced to mulch that we can use later to keep future weeds under control.  One of the things I really enjoy about gardening is that one job can yield multiple benefits:  cutting down trees that have grown too large produces next year's firewood as well as lots of useful mulch.
