Mills Observatory

Another wonderful day.
Before lunch I went for a short run in Balgay Park and Cemetery with various ups and downs, going up to the observatory twice.
It is Britain’s first purpose-built public observatory built in 1935. According to Wikipedia "the observatory is classically styled in sandstone and has a distinctive 7 m dome, which houses a Victorian refracting telescope, a small  planetarium and display areas. The dome is one of two made from papier-mâché to survive in the UK.
Pottered in the garden in the afternoon and made plum and bramble jam and done the ironing this evening.
Going south for a couple of nights tomorrow.
