Sloe gin 2
Made today!!
450g/1lb sloes
225g/8oz caster sugar
1 litre/1¾ pint gin
1. Prick the skin of the sloes all over with a clean needle
2. Put in large sterilised jar or bottle
3. Pour in the sugar and the gin, seal tightly and shake well
4. Store in a cool dark cupboard and shake every other day for a week. Then shake once a week for at least 3 months
5. Strain the sloe gin through muslin into a sterilised bottle. And drink (though possibly not all at once, even if it is Christmas)
Sorry, same subject as yesterday but I couldn't resist blipping stage 2 of the process.
