Petting a Bumble bee

Did you know you can pet a feeding bumble bee?
My fall asters are awash with a variety of bees.
If you come slowly from behind, extend one
finger, then you can pet a bumble bee.  They
are very tolerant of such attention.  their tactile
fuzziness indeed is a delight to touch.  Since
they are very mild-mannered creatures and
are very intent on their feeding frenzy; They go
about their business while being petted.  It is
a simple pleasure for the gently petting gardener.
