Schmetterling

is the German word for Butterfly. This one is painted on a wall quite near where I live. I love the optimism of it and the blatant disregard for any notion of symmetry.

Woke up this morning to find our four legged chum sitting rather sweetly beside the bed. He's still not well but he is better - he's taken to falling over a lot and miaowing, knowing full well that he gets loads of attention if he does that. Today's injection went a lot better after we popped him into his carry case - he can't move around so much in there and it goes a lot smoother. One more to go.

The build-up to tonight's quarter final between Greece & Germany is quite intense. Bild (a rather shabby tabloid) chipped in. They have a "spy" in the Greek team's hotel and have uncovered vital information such as the manager is a chain smoker and the players aren't shaving regulary.
