Got it!

Not happy with John Lewis. Still no sign of the new iPhone (6s) all morning, so I rang customer services. The chap immediately said that it was indeed at Waitrose, waiting to be picked up since Saturday!!! I had not had a comfirmation email, but I had emails (and a phone conversation) apologising for the non-appearance of the item. Very annoying. As I said to them, it was an iPhone (6s), not a table lamp, so I really really wanted to get my hands on it when promised.

However, I have got it now. And a thing of beauty it is indeed.

Got the new car insured after a big panic last night when we could find no written confirmation of the present car having been insured. But of course, it would have been automatic, if we had done nothing about it. Turns out that the reminder was sent to the address they had - our old address - in April, and the new owners of our old flat had not forwarded it!! We're only round the corner! They did that too with the parking permit, and we got fined for forgetting to renew it. I am not very happy with them. We are STILL forwarding mail for the previous owners here - almost two years on!

This is the nearest Archie will ever get to the new iPhone (6s).
