The Big Day
Our niece got married today. We had stayed overnight at Headlam Hall where the wedding was to be held.
We had a bit of time before the ceremony so we went to visit a local Jersey ice cream parlour and had huge sundaes for our lunch! Our granddaughter enjoyed looking at the cows (who were very friendly and came over to investigate us at the edge of their field) and the chickens running round the farmyard.
The wedding ceremony was held in a function suite in the hotel and I grabbed a few shots of a nervous looking groom waiting at the front - and then this shot of the happy couple after signing the register. Although indoors, there was a lot of natural light from a glass roof, so I just upped the ISO rather than use flash.
Official photos were taken outside in the hall gardens - there was a light cloud cover and it was a bit on the cool side but we didn't get rained on!
We had a lovely reception and then later the dancing began.
It was a brilliant day - enjoyed by everyone!
I have about 800 photos from the weekend to sort through so I am way behind on comments and blip in general!
