3am shot

I'm not sure what happened here.  Didn't intend to get up for the event; I only got up because I couldn't sleep.  It began about 2.30 (see extras) and was over (so I thought) by 3 am.  At the full eclipse my camera wouldn't work - too dark. - so I put the camera away and read the paper for ten minutes before going back to bed.  Perhaps I should have waited. All the fiery stuff seems to have happened after that.
