Kew water sculpture
We spent today at the very stimulating Write on Kew literary festival in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. It was a tremendous event in a perfect setting... and the weather stayed fine and quite sunny. It was great to be able to enjoy the gardens as we strolled between different talks and venues. The highlights for us were the session with Pat Barker talking about Noonday, the final book in her 2nd World War trilogy, and Melissa Harrison and Rob Cowen talking about their very different, but complementary, approaches to nature writing. In between sessions, we found a lovely quiet corner of the gardens with this fascinating water sculpture made out of pieces of slate. A great day out!
