View of Cambridge from Grafton Centre Car Park
Lovely day today, chilled out morning at home then Simon and Cathy came up, quick lunch then a trip into Cambrige. Four of us in the Fiat 500 with the 'boys' in the back.
Went to John Lewis, knitting needles bought, coffee, loads of chat, visit to M&S and I bought a few items in their sale, took Geoff for an ice cream while Cathy and Simon caught up with an old school friend of hers that happens to know my boss. Wander past Kings and back to the car park.
Went to get a curry from the local Indian, while waiting went in to one of the local pubs in Newmarket. Well that was interesting full of quite well oiled people who had been to the races and by the looks of their size they work in the horseracing industry. They all starting singing when the Bay City Rollers came on the music followed by Sex Pistols. In the ladies, which were very clean, they were photos of near naked men on the back of the toilet door and apparently in the gents having a wee involves aiming between some red painted lips. I wonder what their karioke night will be like tomorrow! Home with the take away and the rugby is on now.
