Infirmary Street

This is the old turnstile at the former Infirmary Street Swimming Pool which I remember swimming in as a lad. There used to be a pay kiosk next to the turnstile. The pool is now an art studio (see extra photo, looking towards the old shallow end), the building having been converted after the pool shut 20 years ago due to a cracked boiler.
I lament its closure- my work is just along the road and it would have been handy to go for a swim after work. I'd be a thinner person for sure..!
