Cockenzie Chimneys

The twin chimneys of the former Cockenzie Power Station, East Lothian. The coal fired station was built at the end of the 1960s when coal was still more or less King Coal and was shut a couple of years ago when King Coal was dead (replaced by atomic fission at Torness down the coast)
The Chimneys are a local landmark and are getting blown up on Saturday. The power station couldn't have been described as the most beautiful building in the world but it's been there all my life and I think I might miss its imposing hulk.
