East Calder's children's library in a corner of the main library.
It was such a very wet day there was no one in there today.
The main Library is a super place to sit and read the papers, borrow books,CD's and DVD's and even have a go on their computers. If requested, someone will give a lesson on how to browse the internet etc.
They are also the Registrar for Births, Marriages and Deaths as well as being able to furnish a Blue Badge to those who qualify .
All local knowledge and more is to be found here and depending who is using the facilities, - the local gossip too.
A very necessary part of village life.
