More fish eye
A most pleasant evening with the Kiwis. Two of us watched the All Blacks match, and the two cousins gabbled non stop, catching up on family matters. And today they've got lovely weather for their visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia all the must-see sights that they didn't manage yesterday on the HOHO (Ho On Hop Off) bus tour.
JR went off into town today for a luncheon date. Archie and I sat out in the front garden in the sun, until I could ignore the scraggy hedge no longer, and I got out the big ladder and the hand clippers. After snipping away at half a hedge, I got fed up, and decided not to waste a lovely day - we went up the Hill instead. I was keen to try out the wide angle lens bit of yesterday's new toy, but this necessitated taking the iPad. I left my camera behind, so that I'd have to use the iPad. What a faff! I've seen people taking photos with iPads, and they do look silly. So unwieldy! Apart from not being able to see what I was pointing at, it was very nearly blown from my hands. Never again. In this (windy) shot you can see Craiglockart Hill, which is now being covered with new houses. :-(
As we were coming back down the hill, who did we see away in the distance? Bailey and her mum! So the dogs had some bonus fun, and J and I sat in the sun while she told me all about free audio books from the library. We gazed out to the two Cockenzie Power Station chimneys, which are coming down tomorrow at midday, and planned our vantage point for viewing the event.
Uncle A called in with a present. Thanks Uncle A!
In the afternoon I had a nananap (good word, LG) then watched the rugby match, JR eventually returned with the Kiwis and a couple of M&S Meal Deals. Brilliant.
As there was no rugby on TV, I had an excuse to bore entertain the visitors with some of my recorded TV programmes about Scotland!
Exciting news tomorrow!
