Cold War Coffee Club

A day off work and the sun was shining.

Took a spin over to Robin Hood Airport to see the only airworthy Avro Vulcan XH558. Sadly, 2015 will be its last year of flying.

The iconic Vulcan - a jet powered, delta wing strategic bomber provided the RAF with nuclear capability during the cold war.

This morning was the "Vulcan Coffee Club" and for five pounds visitors were able to drink coffee, eat biscuits, view the aircraft and take photos.

I finished the day with a trip to Potteric Carr - the flagship nature reserve - also in Doncaster.
