Wet trunk road
A bit of a milestone, crossing the M6, not much traffic for a Saturday morning.
Still raining this morning so we set off with all the waterproofs on and feel like a mobile sauna.
About 9 miles today to Orton which we reached by 1.30 having had rain all the way. Stopped in the bus shelter to eat our sandwiches before seeking out our lodgings for the night.
What joy!
The landlord provided a crate each for our wet gear and took it all off to the drying room, our room was great, the bathroom had a heated towel rail and a radiator and they both worked and the first floor conservatory was ours to use as well.
Oh and fresh scones were on the table help yourself!
Sat and drunk tea, ate scones and watched the rain lash down outside the windows.
Tomorrow will be better.
