Brrrrr!

Autumn is definitely taking hold, for today anyway and we had to light the stove for the first time this year.  At least it worked, which is more than can be said for the central heating which failed (again) to fire up just when we needed it. "Panne de fioul", according to the repair man, literally the fuel is broken! Anyway, he got it going and promised to return next week to service the thing and, probably, to hand us a large bill!
