The life & times of Jacks

Cuddly Cats

The weather has very quickly gotten very wintery.

This evening I went to yoga for the first time in quite a while.  In the run up to the wedding we had some *cough* dance lessons/ practice so I didn't manage to get to yoga for a few weeks.

It was fabulous and I am very pleased I went.

Then had a chat with my little sister.  One of the guinea pigs (Jerry) has a lump on him.  They had gone to the Vet who pretty much said he has a few months to live, barely looking at him and then moving on.

Obviously the kids were pretty devastated.  Jo and Stew took him to another vet for a second opinion who advised that it was a cyst - common in guinea pigs, drained it, lump gone, kids happy.

I think the first vet was just lazy and didn't think the guinea pig was worth their time.  Although I am prone to laziness I kinda really get pissed off with people at work that are just lazy!

Back to Jerry though - that vet charged £15 to say it was pretty much terminal and the one who actually did the job charged £18 for the consultation and draining the cyst.  It turns out the likely cause was a bite from the other guinea pig, Tom.  Can you tell the kids named them?

I think the cats miss Steve - they have been quite cuddly since I got in and they are both sitting with me on the sofa when they are normally in quite different rooms.

Tomorrow is hump day!! Yay!
