Slants
A rather warm start. Our heating had jumpstarted itself during the night, probably as a result of a power surge. It's happened a couple of times before, and it's one reason why we switch off every conceivable switch when we go away. We had to have the door open first thing to cool the place off. Neither of us like overwarm rooms.
A pretty ordinary day at work - still busy welcoming new Fellows, and trying to get our new project properly on track with a timeline and such like. Lunch, some visitors, some meetings, and an invitation to dinner (in January, not tonight).
Home to meatballs. A comfort food.
Struggling on the photographic side at the moment. Luckily there was lovely light in Pilrig Park and although I actually stopped to photograph the remnants of the wild flowers (see pink extra) I ended up preferring this picture of my bike basking in the early autumn sunshine.
The other extra is a picture of the glorious Japenese anenomes outside the Institute, previously photographed this time last year.
