Hallin Fell and Sandwick.

After preparing the lodge for next weeks guests I took a drive along the lake on the way home.  Considering the schools are back I was amazed to find nearly all the lay-bys full.

I was starting to think I would have to turn away from the lake before I found somewhere to stop.  Suddenly there it was a large lay-by totally empty!  I can only guess but it was probably because it is up above the lake and screened by trees with no views over the lake.

I wandered down to the shore and spend a few minutes taking blips.  I was planning on something along the lines of enjoying a sunny autumn afternoon, as there were sailors, canoeists and even a motor boat.

I finally settled on this view towards Hallin fell and Sandwick bay.  Hallin is to the left and Sleet Fell to the right.
