Solstice Strawberries & Spider
It's the last 10 percent of packing that's the worst, all the bits and bobs and trying not to forget any important camera/computer bits, in particular.
A quick bimble around the garden at 8:30pm, just as the summer solstice light was going, gave me the choice between this study of one cluster of our alpine strawberries, complete with a tiny white spider, or a very late shadow of one of our blueberry bushes on the garden gate.
Tomorrow will be a change of scene, at least!
(I'll catch up on comments in our air-conditioned hotel room over the next few days -- the high temperatures forecast for Fort Collins, Friday through Sunday, range from 97-99 F / 36-37 C. I whine here when the temperature goes above 75 F / 24C...)
