Heatwave
Sorry for yet another iPhone-picture-of-Lea-involving-a-book-and-proving-I-didn't-move-much-all-day. We beat a heat record today, 33 and then you add humidity factor to that. Lea, of course, didn't care much for the heat. She managed to spend 45 minutes sleeping and purring madly at the same time, on me, as if I wasn't warm enough. To be fair, though, I wasn't that hot: it's one of the advantages of my apartment: being that close to the water, there's a very nice breeze that makes a day like today bearable. As long as I don't move much. And as long as I don't go into my study. Good thing I wasn't sent work today!
Lea spent the rest of the day sleeping, changing spot on the floor when it got too hot. I just put a towel in the freezer: it should be very comfortable for her! Me, now that there is no more direct sun on the back balcony, I'm reading outside, enjoying the breeze.
Thanks for your words, yesterday. It took me a few hours to put the whole thing vaguely behind. My cousin wasn't happy at all, and said that if the apartment isn't good enough, no one is forcing them to move! We're a very good, generous family I think. But people like these two tend to bring out the "don't you dare say shit about us and insult our loved ones" protective response... Which is a good thing!
