Waiting
For a conference to start. Today was a rather unproductive day. After a morning spent searching for random stuff, I stopped by grandma's. The plan is to leave the apartment for July 1st, so its really progressing fast.
When I got there, the future renter was there with her daughter, talking to my mom, complaining about the state of the apartment, the fact that there is a lot of stuff still (dude, we're still there), and basically forgetting that a) they have access because we were kind enough to let them, b) we are emptying the apartment of a 95 year old woman who lived there for more than 35 years, c) the woman they were complaining to was grieving her mother, and not the landlord.
Their insensitivity made me really, really angry.
But I'm not violent, and was a good grand daughter.
After that, I came home. And now, I'm listening to a conference about the strike, but my mind is elsewhere. Flailing around the ideas of respect, empathy. Love.
