Cape Porpoise, Maine

After an early morning walk along the beach at Ogunquit, we headed for Kennebunkport and a browse round the rather touristy shops and the beautiful clapper board houses in the residential bits

The main blip is the quieter and more unspoilt area of Cape Porpoise just around the headland. On the way we stopped to get a shot of George W Bush's holiday home (see extras)

We enjoyed a lunch of seafood chowder in the Chowder House just to the right of the jetty (see extras for a closer look at the colourful lobster pots) and a stroll round, before heading off for a brief look at the traditional resort of Old Orchard Beach, all funfair rides , etc.

We finished the day as we began with a beach alk, this time back at Wells as yesterday. A quick swim back at our holiday complex and we're ready for Mike's Clam Shack!
