WHAT is THAT........?

There have been some beautiful pictures posted today, and I come up with this ugly one! Such a strange fungus growing here! It reminded me of my nephew when he was small...he used to say "I don't LIKE it!" and that phrase has stuck!

My walk home today seemed to take AGES. I had to do a detour and I couldn't get a lift or a bus...and my rucksack was heavy....and I was tired....(get out the violin). But there was lots to notice; this fungus and, much nicer, the last of little acorns in their cups. And so eventually I made it up the hill....

Up early again tomorrow to make the journey to Yeovil for our niece's wedding. Not complaining about that though and looking forward to the day!
