Film less
Wednesday = dark room techniques
Bizarrely, this year the college is teaching the topic without actually using film cameras. Or processing any film. Instead we're using digital negatives to take an exposure on a digital camera, adjusting and resizing it in Photoshop, inverting the image to a negative and printing onto an acetate transparency, which we can then use to make a contact print.
I don't care if it's because there are more students this year and less equipment to go around. Half the fun of creating your own print has gone, and I feel distinctly short changed.
