Hurrah !

Beltane Week 2012 is happening in Peebles, this is the Riding of the Boundaries of the Town. The Principals are The Cornet and his Lass and all their Supporters, sorry don't know any of their names this year.

I have seen this festival over about 24 years, with great involvement when the children were in Primary School and participating in various events.
This year we tried to find a spot we hadn't seen the ride in and found this narrow country lane the riders come through after galloping up Morning Hill and then are on their way to ford the River Tweed. There were about two hundred and fifty riders!
It is a tradition to shout Hurrah at the riders and they wave and shout back - as you can see in this photo of the Cornets Lasses.
I think this is a 'snap blip' as my beloved was standing near me .
