Yellowstone and Old Faceful

We left our luxurious miner's cabin at dawn and headed up to Virginia City's Boot Hill where 4 road agents remain to this day. Also espied was this teeny tiny grave-site of 3 teeny tiny rodent agents. there was not justice here...just a rope and a mouse-trap.
Breakfast found us in this cafe in Ennis, a drinking town with a fishing problem, where apparently bare feet are forbidden. *extra*
Finally, we reached Yellowstone Park and our digs in a frontier cabin right next to Old Faithful. We tossed our gear inside and went exploring all the geysers geysing, the fumeroles fuming and the hissing steam pots trying to quiet the blurps and belches of the huge mudpots. *See GlassRoad's entry, too*  The 3 Musketeers had to have a pic in the Porcelain Basin area *extra*    Some geologists think Yellowstone is about 10million years overdue for the Big Blast....but not today. Further wanderings took us through a gentle herd of sunning bison. Evening found us waiting for Old Faithful to blow off steam before dinner in the magnificent Old Faithful Inn towering behind it. A pair of bison came in on cue to watch with us and calmly grazed as the foutain of steam and boiling water burst out of the ground beside them....very cool, beasties...very cool! The sky burst into flame as the sun set and the near and far geysers bid us a smoky good-night.
