The Samling

Well I think Mrs H was quite chuffed with the hotel for her 40th!

We were later getting there than we wanted, as the M6 was broken (as per normal).

But it was worth it.

We arrived, unpacked, admired the view, then eventually walked into Ambleside for food (and drink).

The hotel has a (deserved) Michelin star, but we were saving the hotel for Monday night.

On our walk into Ambleside the weather was looking threatening; but it held.  You can see those in the extras.
