Firehouse Food

The cake for this weeks viewing of The Great British Bakeoff is brown sugar-berry coffee cake. (No coffee involved in the bake so I assume it refers to eating it with a cup of coffee).

Using more of our homegrown blueberries I found this recipe in 'Firehouse Food - cooking with San Francisco's firefighters'.

We bought this book a few years ago when we were staying in San Francisco before embarking on our road trip down the Pacific coast to LA. There are some gems in this book but this is the first time I have tried this one. Looks and smells delicious. Hopefully the taste will match.
