Just sitting here waiting

This will be my view just before 3pm every school day this year. I'm sitting on a bench that goes right round the tree that grows outside the classroom. The tree was here when I was in that class but my Mum used to come to the main door to meet me. Nowadays we all get to wait outside each classroom. When I arrived today they were all getting their coats on and being given letters which I'll no doubt be presented with once he's out. The school has grown a great deal since I was here. There are more classrooms and lots of outdoor class space too. Of course it's all tall metal fences and locks round it's perimeter too. None of that when I was little. Still makes me smile to come here though.
