Too much cloud cover

Today a contingent of Spitfires should have flown past the Dorset coast as part of the Battle of Britain commemorations.

I spent nearly four hours on a cliff top waiting for them, but in vain. A pod of twenty aircraft apparently turned at the Isle of Wight and flew inland.

Bad weather was blamed and I can understand that as the cliff top wait was extremely unpleasant in the cold and wind.

So I bring you the clouds that caused the problem, and in the Extra, a Spitfire Gull.
