Sunset, Bryce Canyon
A day of contrasts, from the heat and scale of Horseshoe Bend, just outside Page, to the rain and cloud of Bryce Canyon. So difficult to choose which image to post.
In the end I went for Bryce Canyon, where the weather had changed markedly from the morning. We even had a very short discussion as to whether to go, but with John Gravett leading you know what the answer would be. Our determination was rewarded by short rainbows and late light on the hoodoos and clouds.
Since then it doesn't seem to have stopped raining and the local news is covering the death of 8 people in flash floods in the Southern Utah area. It certainly did rain hard. Just heading for breakfast, before returning to Bryce Canyon and winding our way to Kanab.
In case you missed it yesterday's photo from Monument Valley was posted a few hours ago.
