We owe them such a lot

Watching the Cenataph Service on TV this morning brought home to me how much of a debt we owe all these wonderful ex service men and women. I grabbed the camera, and because the battery symbol was flashing red (low battery) only had time to take this shot of the wonderful Chelsea pensioners. Even though the UK is having a difficult time, just imagine what it would be like if we had not won the two wars. It pleased me to see so many youngsters taking part in the parade, it restores your faith in the teeangers of today, they are not all drug taking, alcohol fuelled nutters!!

Did anyone read the article in this weeks papers about the Chelsea Pensioner who won 77,777 pounds on a lottery scratch card. He gave away all but 777gbp to charities as he didn't want his daughter to have it as she would only squander it. He said that all he needed was the odd amount to buy his guiness, his scratch cards and his fags, wonderful.
