Remembrance Sunday
My mission to remain inconspicuous failed again today, partly due to my task of juggling an umbrella and a large camera in the pouring rain, with the wind blowing a gale.
I go down to Whitehall to catch the end of the Service of Remembrance.
Then not wishing to simply photograph the obvious, headed down one of the back streets in search of a picture.
I spotted the hats in the window to start with and retreated out of view to set up my camera. This hadn't gone unnoticed however and by the time I popped up again the boys and girls of the Fleet Air Arm were already preparing to give me a wave and a smile.
P.S. I changed the title from Armistice Day to Remembrance Sunday as Armistice Day is actually on the 11th day of the 11th month
