look alikes - maybe!

When I caught the moth on the left, I though it was the moth on the right, a Lunar underwing Omphaloscelis lunosa, a common autunmal species and just potted it up for a quick shot or two. However when I got it out to photograph it I realised it wasn't a Lunar underwing at all but a Scarce Bordered straw Helicoverpa armigera, a very nice migrant species found around the southern coasts in the autumn months.
Seeing the two together it looks nothing like a lunar underwing, goodness only knows what I was thinking!!
